Sopcast player on Ubuntu

TV-Maxe is an application that you can use to watch TV stations online, through a P2P technology called SopCast. 

To install the latest TV-Maxe in Ubuntu 14.04, 12.04, use the commands below:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:venerix/pkg
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install tv-maxe

Note: if TV-Maxe doesn’t work properly for you, try changing the player backend from GStreamer to Mplayer of VLC (in the TV-Maxe menu select Preferences and on the General Settings tab, select the backend under Player settings):

Gnome Classic in Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin)

   To get started, press Ctrl – Alt – T on your keyboard to open Terminal.
When it opens, run the commands below to enable Gnome Classic.

sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback 

Restart and on the logon screen, click the option to change your session.

Then choose Gnome Classic to logon.

Disable Automatic Plugin Sorting and accept the warning that will appear after trying to disable it.

From the Disable Plugins List, Enable the following plugins: cube, rotate

From the Enable Plugins List, Disable the following plugins: wall

Go back from the Preferences menu to the Main Compiz Menu and select General Options

Go to Desktop Size tab and change the Horizontal and Vertical Virtual Size to 4

Fedora 19 : Squirrelmail , procmail , dovecot , maildir

Install SquirrelMail

I'm assuming that SELinux is not enabled ; 

yum install squirrelmail
yum install mutt 
yum install dovecot
yum install procmail

We must create a procmailrc file 
/etc/procmailrc  




Restart Apache:
service httpd restart

Then configure SquirrelMail for COURIER IMAP: 
/usr/share/squirrelmail/config/conf.pl

While we have been building SquirrelMail, we have discovered some
preferences that work better with some servers that don't work so
well with others.  If you select your IMAP server, this option will
set some pre-defined settings for that server.

Please note that you will still need to go through and make sure
everything is correct.  This does not change everything.  There are
only a few settings that this will change.

Please select your IMAP server:
    bincimap    = Binc IMAP server
    courier     = Courier IMAP server

In this folder there is a single file for each user ; This scenario is for small servers with pop3 access ;

Configuring DOVECOT

mail_location = maildir:%h/Maildir

Then , the test : 

echo "test" | mutt -s "eMaiL TesT" user@localhost

After this test , an email must enter in 
/home/user/Maildir ;

If the email arrives in 
/var/spool/mail/user 
then , the dovecot and procmailrc settings are not OK 
and must check 
/var/log/maillog

If from localhost squirrelmail is OK and from another host can't be accessed , 
then we must check the firewall : 

firewall-cmd --state

systemctl stop firewalld.service

After the firewalld service has stopped , the webmail can be accessed from the network !
